The EU Chemicals Legislation of REACH (1907/2006) and CLP Regulation (1272/2008) is fully operational and in action. Stakeholders in Industry have worked hard to meet the first registration deadline of 1 December 2010 and related requirements in time.
New registration dossiers need to be prepared to meet your 2013 & 2018 deadlines or immediately for (new) substances manufactured / imported or substances crossing relevant volume thresholds. This workshop provides procedures and tools for the development of exposure scenario’s for substances and practical training in using them.
This training focuses on exposure assessments for both worker and consumer uses and is based on the practical experiences, materials & approaches successfully developed and implemented by the trainers within some pro-active industries such as LyondellBasell.

Staff responsible for development and maintenance of Exposure Scenarios for REACH dossier and downstream uses (DU CSR)

Approach
After a short introduction and demonstration of the procedure and tools, you will work on practical exercises (more than 50% of the available time). You may practice with your own substance. There will be ample opportunity to discuss and share own experiences with the trainers and other workshop participants.

• a step-wise procedure for the development of an Exposure Scenario for a substance
• tools/formats to be used for the exposure and risk assessments for both worker and consumer uses, including examples
• practical exercises to make you both familiar and confident with procedures and tools for the exposure assessments of workers and consumers for Exposure Scenarios.
